Reforestation
Here at Rival, we are helping to reforest the Earth by vowing to plant mangrove trees in Kenya, Madagascar, and Mozambique. This program, organised by Eden Reforestation Project, and tracked by Verdn, will provide crucial aid for struggling villagers, which will enable them to provide for and support their families. As our contribution, we pledge to plant 2 trees in these areas for each Rival Earth Stick sold.
Ocean Cleanup
Rival are looking to set straight the issues of ocean waste, with the support of the organisations Verdn and Empower As, by helping to recover ocean-bound plastic, which will not only reduce the impact of pollution on the ocean, but will also provide crucial income to local waste pickers living in disadvantaged communities across Africa and Southeast Asia. To assist with the operation, we have agreed to retrieve 1kg of ocean-bound plastic for every Rival Ocean Stick sold.
The Process
Step 1: Place your Order
Purchase your Earth or Ocean hockey stick on the Rival website. You will receive a confirmation email for your order which will contain a link to the Verdn website, which will allow you to track your order's contribution.
Step 2: Charity Partners
Once your order has been processed, the Charity Partner will be notified and will begin to carry out your donation.
Step 3: View your Contribution
By accessing the Verdn website, through the link in your confirmation email, you will be able to view data around how much your order has saved, for example how many trees your order has planted, as well as additional data displaying the amount that has been saved overall by the Rival website.
